Each year, Congress has a responsibility to develop Appropriations bills that dictate how federal dollars are spent. Appropriations bills decide total annual funding levels across federal agencies, funding levels for specific programs within those agencies, and the kind of activities that are eligible for funding. Congress works to deliver 12 funding packages, one for each of the subcommittees on Appropriations (you can find a list of these committees here).
The deadline to submit all requests is 11:59 pm on Friday, April 11, 2025.
House Members may submit special requests to the House Appropriations Committee, relating to Community Project Funding, Programmatic Funding Levels, and Bill and Report Language. Subcommittees create strict guidance for member request submissions and determine what programs will be eligible for funding (you can read guidance for each subcommittee by visiting this page). These requests are then considered for inclusion in the bills reported by the Appropriations committee.
Community Project Funding requests are set-asides for specific community-based projects. As your representative, I am here to fight to bring your money back to our district. I want to hear directly from you about how we can uplift projects and initiatives in NJ-10!
The Appropriations committee is accepting Community Project Funding requests aligned with the guidelines set out here.

Programmatic Funding requests ask to set funding for a specific program or activity at a specified level. Requests from constituent organizations help me develop my priorities for annual appropriations legislation.
Please click here to submit a Programmatic Funding request for FY26.
Language Requests change the specific wording of an appropriations bill or the text of a committee report, each of which can guide how funding for a particular agency or account is spent.

If you have multiple requests, you must submit a separate form for each request.
Disclaimer: By filling out Rep. McIver’s appropriations request form, you acknowledge that this is not an application for federal funding. Submission of any information does not create a binding commitment or guarantee that any organization or program will be awarded funding.
